IN MEMORIAM.
In loving memory of our dear
mother, Mrs. C. F. McGhee, who
went home June 24tb, 1930.
Dearest mother, thou hast left
us and our loss we deeply feel,
but tis God that has oereft us.
He can all our sorrows heal,
yet again we hope to meet thee,
where the day of life is fled, when
in Heaven in joy to greet thee,
where no farewell tear is shed.
Through all pain at times she’ll
smile, a smile of heavenly birth,
and when the angels called her
home, she smiled farewell to
earth.
Heaven retains now our treas
ure, earth the lonely casket keeps
and the sunbeams love to linger,
where our dear mother sleeps.
Tis hard to break the tender
cord, when love has bound the
heart; ’tis hard, so bard, to speak
the word, “we must forever part’’
Dearest loved one, we have lain
thee in the peaceful grave’s em
brace, but thy memory will be
cherished till we see thy heaven
ly face.
We have lost our darling moth
er, she has bid us all adieu. She
has gone to live in heaven and
her form is lost to view.
Oh, that dear one, how we loved
her; oh, how hard to give her up,
but an angel came down for her
and removed her from our flock.
Thy gentle voice now is hushed,
thy warm true heart is still and
on thy sweet and innocent brow
is resting death's cold chill, thy
hands are clasped upon thy
breast. We have kissed thy love
ly brow and in our aching hearts
we know we have no mother now,
for she is resting in slumber,
in silent and eternal sleep.
Mr. and Mrs. H.T. McGhee.

F STEAD of pouring it hot over
ice, try making iced cotfee by
chilling the’ coffee in the refrigera
tor. This will mean less dilution
from the ice in tha gjass, and a
much more refreshing drink, 'the
coffee should lie kept in an air
tight container between brewing
and serving, so that it will retain
1U flavor and aroma.
Beeta are rich in vitamins A, B
and C. Also they possess calcium,
phosphorus and iron, all of which
is more than enough to recommend
them for both children and grown
ups. A small amount of sugar ad
ded while boiling, about a teaspoon
to a eup of water, restores the gar
den sweetness they are almost sure
to have lost in greater or less de
gree on their way from the garden
to the saucepan.
