Weeks grow in profusion on
our streets and lanes, and some
of the privately own lotseven
are contaminated with this
growth. They are real pretty in
the summer months, when their
green hue adds luster to other
vegetation, but when the winter's
chill begins to fade their summer
attire, gloomliness steps in and
fades away that spring-like hue,
and they remain an eye sore for
the remainder of the season. Our
soil appears to be very condusive
to this growth.

THE SUBJECT OF YOUI ESSAY IS:
The life of the average country
newspapers editor isf ull of trials,
troubles and tribulations. Giving
a community a good clean news
paper is really a big job and the
newspaperman must receive the
full co-operation of all in order
to give its community a good
paper. The Editor of this paper
never invades the town of another
editor and solicit job printing by
cutting prices, as we fully ap
preciate the struggle any news
papar or printing plant have in
operation. It is very poor com
petition for a newspaper man to
leave his home city and go into
the city of another newspaper
soliciting job printing, etc. The
“foreign’’ nev spaper man does
exactly nothing for his neigh
boring cities, therefore, he is not
entitled to secure local printing
and see the home town news
paper fliCKer out on account of
this type of solicitors.—Georgia
(Hazlehurst) Cracker.
The Summerville News has
this to say: “The trade-at-home
program will work only when it
has the support of buyers and
sellers.’’

New H-C gives me
Double-Range Anti-Knock
"I get Double-Range Anti-Knock.” That’s what motorists are
saying about the new 11-C Gasoline. The two speedometers
above indicate the two important speed ranges where knock
less power is needed. Some gasolines give high anti-knock in
one driving range but not in the other. However, the new
Double-Range 11-C gives you high anti-knock in both. Try a
tankful of the new Double-Range H-C today. It sells at
regular price.
