Hattaway-Oliff
The recent marriage of Mrs.
Billie Olliff, of Miami, Fla., and
Mr. Emmett Hattaway, of Glen
wood, has taken them to Wiscon
sin and lowa on a honeymoon.
The couple will return to Glen
wood but will make Miami their
permanent home.

The Glenwood MYF
The MYF of the Glenwood
Methodist Church held their
regular meeting August 4 at the
church.
The President, Grace Clark,
called the meeting to order and
a short business session followed.
It was reported that the MYF
made $9.82 at the Bake Sale Sat
urday. We were proud of the
total.
Everyone had a very good time
at Jay Bird Springs Thursday.
We will either go to Jay Bird or
to the show on Thursday. But
to do this you must go to MYF.
Pat Morrison had the program.
Several parts were given. It was )
enjoyed by everyone.
We adjourned. with the MYF
benediction led by our president.
We sincerely welcome old and
new members to come and join
as at MYF.

BRIDE OF DICK FEAGAN HAMILTON
Sunday afternoon at four o’clock
in the First Christian Church in
Dublin the marraige of Miss
Amanda Willbuise Daniel of
Cedar Grove to Dick Feagan
Hamilton of Dublin, was solemn
ized. Dr. Rufus D, Hodges, Bap
tist Minister, officiated, reading
the double ring ceremony in the
presence of the families of the
couple.
When Mr. Hamilton and his
bride exchanged their wedding
vows he gave her the wedding
ring worn by his maternal grand
mother, the late Mrs. Annie
Smith Feagan, and she gave him
the wedding ring of his paternal
grandmother, the late Mrs. Carrie
Cochran Hamilton.
The bride, the daughter of Mr.
;and Mrs. Chester R. Daniel, of
; Cedar Grove, is a graduate of
I the Cedar Grove High School and
(G. A. B. Business College in Ma
con. Mr. Hamilton, the son of
Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Hamilton of
Dublin, graduated from the Dub
lin High School and Middle Geor
i gia College, Cochran.

beautified the chancel of the
church against a background of
greenery. A program of wed
ding music was presented by Miss
Betty Rose York, organist.
Mrs. Parker Crabb, of Mcßae,
was her sister’s attendant. She
wore a white polished cotton
dress with pink cotton cumber
) bund, pink gloves, and small pink
)hat, and her flowers were pink
i carnations.
The bride was given in mar
i riage by her uncle, Woodrow
Clark, of Cedar Grove, because
of her father’s illness. Her wed
ding dress was of pink embroid
ered cotton fashioned with full
street - length skirt, sweetheart
neckline and tiny cape sleeves
on the fitted bodice. Her only
ornament was a string of baby
pearls. She wore a small pink
| hat and her corsage was a purple
: throated orchid.
The groom’s father, J. C. Ham
: ilton, served as best man, and
ushers were Ray Kitchens of Dex
ter, and Charles Wolfe, of Dublin.
After the ceremony the couple
greeted guests in the vestibule
of the church. Mrs. C. R. Dan
iel, the bride’s mother, and Mrs.
J. C. Hamilton, mother of the
groom, received with them. Mrs.
I Daniel wore a blue and white cot-
I ton dress, a white hat and corsage
iof white carnations and tube-
I roses. Mrs. Hamilton’s dress was
: of blue cotton voile with match
ing hat and shoes, and she wore
a corsage of white carnations.

District Forester James Reid of
Mcßae wil join other key person

mission this week in Athens to
attend the second annual Admin
istrative Management Conference,
Alston Cherry of the Wheeler
County Forestry Unit said today.
The five day meeting will be
held in the Continuing Education
Building on the University of
Georgia campus. It is designed
to instruct executive personnel
in administrative tecniques to
improve the efficiency of com
mission operations. Primary
courses will include problems
and solutions in administrative
communications and human rela
tions.
Principal instructors during the
conference will be Dr. Leighton
Ballew, head of the University’s
department of speech and drama
and Dr. Ted Smith, professor of
’ business administration.

Selph visited Mrs. Ethel Holland
in Cochran Thursday.
