FHA Increases
Loan Limits
The Secretary of Agriculture,
Ezra Taft Benson, recently au
thorized an increase in loan limits
in Telfair and Wheeler Counties
for Farm Ownership Loans. This
was announced today by Herman
T. Langley, local County Super
visor for the Farmers Home Ad
ministration.
The agency can now loan up to
$30,000 to eligible farmers to pur
! chase a family size farm. Loans
; are also made to enlarge or de
j velop farms already owned by the
farmer. Loans for farm develop
ment can be used for such im
provements as fencing, seeding of
; permanent pastures, soil conserva
tion needs, construction of new
buildings or altering and repair
ing old buildings.
Farm Ownership Loans are
long term loans which can be
amortized over a period of 40
years. The loan bears interest at
the rate of 4% and 5 per cent per
year.
Applications for these loans can
be filed at the local Farmers

A certified check or bank draft,
