BEETLE EPIDEMIC
Salvage timber before treating

Georgia. The effectiveness of the
control program was brought out
in the beetle report which cited
thirty counties in which treat

out. This number has now been

ports that over one-half, million
trees have .been cut and treated
since mid-March 1962. This rep
resents a loss of less than 3,775,000
board feet of sawtimber and
slightly more than 8,950 cords of
pulpwood.
