David Studstill Home
Is Destroyed By Fire
The home of David Studstill, lo
cated near Helena, was destroyed
by fire about 2 p.m. Friday.
All members of the Negro fam- '
। ily were away from home ac
cording to reports, and they lost
all of their possessions. Studstill
is said to have suffered a deep
gash on his arm when he broke '
: a window to get inside, when he
arrived upon the scene upon
learning of the fire.

Wedding Rehearsal
Dinner In Douglas
On Saturday night, April 19,
Mr. and Mrs. James A. Palmer
of Mcßae, entertained the wed
ding party of Vivion Young and
Dwight Palmer with a lovely
seated dinner. The guests arrived
at the, I Like It Restaurant, in
Douglas, after the wedding re
hearsal in the Chapel at the First
Baptist Church of Douglas.
The candle lighted room was
beautifully decorated with pink
and white. The long banquet
table was covered with a white
cloth and held in the center a
lovely flower arrangement of
pink and white carnations and
gladioli. Ivy trailed down the
center of the table, joining lighted
pink tapers. Heart shaped candy
dishes were filled with dainty
pink and green decorated mints.

Ohio, brother and sister-in-law of
the future groom.
The bride-elect chose a white
crepe dress and shoes with a pink
smoke ring for the beautiful oc
casion. The outfit was comple
mented by a pink carnation cor
sage which held a tiny bride and
groom.
After the guests enjoyed a de
licious meal, the bridal attend
ants opened remembrances of the
wedding.
