ATLANTA (PRN) - A
journey along U.S. Highway
41 north of bustling Atlanta
can lead to an array of

newest fu n-in-the-sun

The first operating segment

recreation complex,
crescentrshaped Allatoona
Beach is an enticing
quarter-mile of white sand.
Convenient to the beach is a
1,500 sq. ft. bathhouse
featuring a modem and
well-equipped food and
refreshment facility.
An amusement area and
dance pavilion is nestled
among nearby Georgia pines,
with picnic tables aplenty and
paved parking for 800 cars. In
final stages of completion is a
campground of 125 camping
sites, served by a general store
and laundromat.
The 45-acre complex is
located 16 miles north of
Marietta on U.S. 41. Operated
by Allatoona Enterprises, Inc.,
the property is under lease
from the United States Army
Corps of Engineers who
developed Lake Allatoona as a
Flood Control Reservoir in
1950. Last year, over five
million people visited
Allatoona, said to be the third
most popular lake managed by
the Army Corps of Engineers.
