That tract of land in the
City of Alamo, Wheeler Coun
ty, Georgia, known as Lot
No. Twelve (12) in Block Let
tered “A” according to the
official map of the City of
Alamo. Said tract fronts 50
feet on the southeast side of
Lucile Avenue and extends
back in an even width as the
front for a distance of 150
feet, being bounded as fol
lows, to-wit: Northeast by Lot
#l3 in Block Lettered “A”;
Southeast by an alley; South
west by land of Maxine Harris;
and Northwest by Lucile Ave
nue.
The property hereinabove
described includes all im
provements, buildings, and
fixtures situated thereon.
ALSO, all machinery,
equipment, furniture, and fix
tures including, but not limited
to, telescope, vacuum wheel,
elevator fans, valve, blow box,
air pipe, air pull fans, con
veyor distributor, gin hood,
spiral elevator, battery con
densers, lint slide, motors,
frame building, corn storage
tanks, truck scales, each and
everything used in connection
with the business of Edwin
D. Rocker, d/b/a J. F. Hatta
way Company of Alamo, Geor
gia, including attachments,
accessories and additions
thereto.
The aforesaid security in
struments were given to se
cure pay ment of a Note dated
April 13, 1967, in the original
principal sum of $75,000.00,
payable by Edwin D. Rocker,
d/b/a J. F. Hattaway
Company, Alamo, Georgia to
the order of Wheeler County
State Bank, Alamo, Georgia,
and assigned to Small Busi
ness Administration. Default
having been made and con
tinuing in payment of said
Note, Small Business Admin
istration, the holder and owner
thereof, has declared the same
immediately due and payable
and will sell the real and
personal property described
hereinabove, for the purpose
of applying the proceeds first
to the expenses of the sale
and then to the secured in
debtedness, and, the balance,
if any, to such parties who by
law are entitled thereto.
The realpropertydescribed
hereinabove as Tracts No. 1
and 2 will be soldand conveyed
subject to a Deed to Secure
Debt dated January 28, 1966,
from Edwin D. Rocker,
Grantor, to J. F. Hattaway,
Grantee, as recorded in Deed
Book 31, Page 249, in the
Office of Clerk, Superior
Court, Wheeler County, Geor
gia, which secures an indebt
edness with an approximate
balance of $39,000.00; pro
vided, however, the improve
ments upon said property and
all machinery and equipment
of Edwin D. Rocker, d/b/a
J. F. Hattaway Company will
be sold free and clear of said
security deed pursuant to a
Subordination Agreement exe
cuted by the said J. F. Hatta
way as recorded in Deed Book
32, Pages 278-2 79, of said
Clerk’s office;
All property described
hereinabove, real and person
al, will be sold and conveyed
without representation, war
ranty or recourse, express
or implied, and subject toad
valorem taxes which are a
lien against the property, if
any; and, the real property
will be sold and conveyed
subject to prior recorded
liens, all reservations and
restrictions contained in prior
deeds and easements for high
way right-of-way, telephone
and utility lines, pipe lines
and railroads, if any, and
without representation, war
ranty or recourse, express
or implied.

Association dated August 12th,
1971, and recorded in Deed

all of his interest in the fol
lowing described property, to
wit:
“All that rectangular tract
or parcel of land lying and
being in the City of Alamo,
Wheeler County, Georgia, be
ing entire City Lot No. 12
and the entire northeast one
half of City Lot No. 13, all
in Block 4 of the Cox-Sub
division of said City, said
lots being contiguous and to
gether being described as
fronting 75 feet on the north
westerly right-of-way line of
Second Street and extending
back therefrom in equal width
in a northwesterly direction
150 feet to the southeasterly
right-of-way line of an alley,
and being further described
as being bounded northeast by
a line running parallel with
the southwesterly right-of
way line of Magnolia Lane a
distance of 100 feet south
westwardly therefrom, south
east by the said northwesterly
right-of-way line of Second
Street, southwest by a line
running parallel with the said
southwesterly right-of-way
line of Magnolia Lane at a
distance of 175 feet south
westwardly therefrom, and the

According to the terms of
said deed to secure debt filed
in the Office of the Clerk of
Wheeler Superior Court if de
fault occurred in the payment
of principal and interest then
the grantee, at its option,
could declare the remaining
balance immediately due and
payable, and therefore, ac
cording to the terms of said
deed to secure debt and the
power of sale agreement the
grantee hereby declares the
entire balance of principal
and interest due and payable
and said property will be sold
before the Courthouse in
Alamo, Georgia on Tuesday,
March 7, 1972, between the
legal hours of sale to the
highest and best bidder for
cash, after being advertised
once a week for four weeks
in the official gazette in and
for said County. The proceeds,
after paying the principal, in
terest, expenses of said sale
and legal fees shall be paid
over to the parties legally
entitled to receive same.

Club Holds Meeting
The Willing Workers Club
met at the home of Mrs. Abbie
Steward January 17.
The meeting was called to
order by the President, Miss
Eula Mae Hall.
Mrs. Julia Mae Wilcox read
the scripture and offered the
prayer.
The president gave a few
introductionary remarks and
the house was opened for busi
ness. Minutes of the previous
meeting were read and
adopted.
At the next meeting Jesse
Dixon will give a report as to
the needs of materials for
the roadside park.
A gift was presented to
Mrs. Abbie Steward by Mrs.
Edan Mae Terrell for faithful
service rendered to the com
munity.
The Alamo Garden Club,
through conservation Awards
program, donated the club S2O.
for further beautification of
the Jesse Dixon Roadside
Park. A card of thanks will be
extended to them.
Four Dogwood trees were
given to the club as a partici
pant in the Richard B. Russell
Beautification Project. The
meeting was then adjourned.
