are cordially invited to hear him,
Mr, W, A. Scroggins, the popu
lar candidate for sheriff, gave the
Observer’s subscription list some
assistance yesterday. He voted a
Coggins ticket too.
Would it be funny if the Observ
er was to fell its readers of a few
candidates who didn’t vote for Cog
gins? Those who did will not
take exception to this.
Quite a number attended the ex

While the Observer opposed the

d . ‘ n was only a political sense,
id era both gentlemen ol honor,
an ihotified with the county’s
commercial, agricultural and edu

were deceived in the democratic
party’s principles when they put
these gentle in the field to oppose
her organization.
Capt Eniek Anderson and Col.
John Hill, Sr., were two among the
oldest democratic veterans, who
were at the polls yesterday. It is
not necessary to say they voted
with the organized democracy. Is
this not a lesson for young demo
crats to vote the organized princi
ples? If there were mistakes in it
these old democrats would have
discovered them ere now.
