Building Under Difficulties.
When Neheroiah reached Jerusalem
ha first work and the work for which
he had come, was to rebuild the wall*
of the city.
We are told that for day* he mourn
ed, fasted and prayed to God before
undertaking the task.
Prayer i* the right preparation for
sny undertaking.
When ha began to build by organis
ing bin people for certain work, his
enemies began to ridicule, but N,he
mlah kept laying stone.
When It was made known that good
ained stones were being placed, San
ballat and his force began to prepare
for «n attack, Nehemiab never forgot
to pray.
Sanballat intended to cause confu
sion, thereby hindering the work.
Nehemlah could never forget that
God was on his aide and was fighting
with hi n. and so he fought and .build
•d and prayed. Many times the bu le
ers worked with one hand and held
their aptara with the other They all
were Intent on fortifying the city, so
they followed Nebemiali.
The Sanballat force* seeing Nehe
miah preparing for battle, he and hit
crowd aneaka away.
Then Sanballat employs mother

politely (?) invite Nehemlah out of
the city to talk thing* over, but Ne
