SCATTERED HITS
The Dixie Crystals shut out Beau
fort yesterday when they nailed the ,
offerings of Smith to the four corners
of the lot to win 5-0, at the Sugar
Refinery. Allowing the Beaufort
aggregation only four hits, the veter
an hurler, Donnie Grevemberg, had
the situation in perfect control at all
times and showed the way for the
heavy hitting "murderers” row of the
batting order of the Sugar Boys.
Getting a total of six hits to ccp
the ball game, the Crystals played ■'
heads up ball to win the second game
of the series. Paced by Bercegeay, who
collected two out of four, the Crystals
were never in danger of being scored
upon.
