Awarding of Certificates. ROOSEVELT NAMED BYCONVENTION SPRINGFIELD, Mass. June 6 (TP) The Massachusetts Democratic pre primary convention adjourned to night after endorsing President Roosevelt and nominating Governor Curley for the U. S. Senate. The convention adopted a 16-plank glatform. One plank endorses the Roosevelt administration and pledges support for the president’s re-elec tion. The other planks outline a pro gram for state affairs. State Treasurer Charles F. Hurley was nominated for governor to suc ceed Gov. Curley. SUSPECT HELD BOSTON, June 6 (TP).—A 30 year-old Easton, Pa., resident, Paul Lewis, Is being held under $2,000 bail tonight pending arrival of Peni/yl vania authorities. Lewis was picked up by Bay state detectives in connection with <n al leged highway robbery at Easton, Pa., last April, Boston authorities say he as agreed to return to Pennsylvania without fighting extradition proceed ings. MISSING GIRL RETURNS HOME WASHINGTON, June 6 (TP) Fifteen year-old Ednee Josephine Ste phens came back home today after being missing since Wednesday morn ing- The young schoolgirl, daughter of William Stephens, personnel director of the resettlement administration, was the cause of a frantic search by police of the states surrounding Wash ington and department of justice agents had ben asked to take part in the search. She was found last night in Mail- i son, Va., by police of that town. Calm ly she them that she had got tired cf school and had just started cut in search of adventure.
