Your committee beg leave to report
that with few exccptioiia the public
roada of the county are in good con
dition. The road ill front of the
Stciirna' place on the I’eteraburg mud

plncea ia too narrow for two vehiclea
to paaa. One of the comminaioucrii
of aaid road informa ua that he Inia
appointed an oveiweer, but iiaid over

atntea that aaid overaci r is insolvent.
We recommend in future that n re
aponaible man be appointed uh over
seer. We find the bridge between
Mrs. Wfilton’a ami Robert Walton's
iinaufo' imd in med of repair. The
bridge over the I chon creek on ]
Petcraburg road we find also needs
repaint. The bridge on the Wrights-'

der’a mill wants a new cover. The
bridge over Kiokee creek near Ap

ports of heart timber be placed un- I
dereach span of the entire bridge.
|We recommend that a substan

We recommend that the road com

the builders of the bridge across Big
Kiokee creek, on the Petersburg
road, that the same needs repairs and
’if the said repairs are not at once
made the commissioners proceed to
repair the bridge and lender their
account to the Ordinary and lie shall
pay the same and then issue un exe
eution against (ho builders and their
bondsmen for the amount in full and
enforce its collection. We further
recommend that the road commis

Int once, commencing at 18 mile post
on Thomson road and proceed direct
across to .lie 15 mile post on W rights
boro road mid open u 11" W road, said
road to be opened and afterwards
worked by hands of the district. The
Thomson road to be discontinued ns
a public road from 18 mile post to
the Buoyer place on the Milledgeville

We recommend that the county
Treasurer pay tho Sheriff s3l 80 for
turnkey foe",
W e recommend that Thus N. Hop
kins be appointed a Notary Public
for 128th district in place of T. J.
Clark, resigned.
It has been called to our attention
Hint an error exists in the tax Collec
tor's books for the year 1880 of $30.00.
There should have been a special
enlrv of collectlion of back tuxes.
After investigation we find this was |
merely u clerical error and recom
mend that the Collector be relieved
from its payment.
We are assured that wo voice the
opinion of the county in heartily re
commending to our representutives
in the legislature his honor, Judge H.
C. Konev for le-election to high posi
tion which he now so ably tills. He
has adorned the bench by his ability,
promptness and courtesy, while the
purity of his private chaiaeter has en
deared him to the citizens of the
county.
We order the Treasurer to pay the
Solicitor General, his cost and fees
after they have been passed upon by
the court and also that the jurors and
bailiffs of tins court l»e paid $2 (Ml per,
day for services at this term of the
court.
We direct the Ordinary to have
these Presentments published in the
Colvmiua SixrixYi and that the Sksti

law.
