Wo clip the following from the ’
Gibaon Enterprise:
The other day the attentiouof M r.
G. H. Logue was called to a curious
stalk of cotton in Ins field. He ex
amined it carefully and found that ii
was indeed strange cottou. The
cotton seed instead of being attached
to the hut like other cotton, was
fastened by a little stem to the bolls,
and would fall to the ground as soon
as ths bobs were touched. l'he
cotton in the bolls was entirely free
from seed, The seed are about tht
size of other cotton seed, but ar.
shaped something like apj lo sec,:
wuu slender stems. Mr. Logue lias
shown the seed to several old farmers.
Dot one of whom ever saw
liku it before. The seed will be
carefully preserved by Mr. Login
and planted next year. If they
produce cotton similar to that grow .
on the strange stalk, there may be
a fortune made out of these peculiar
cotton seed.
