THE CHRISTMAS TREE-
The little ones, members of the
Baptist Sunday School, who were ap

of that duty bravely and with a de
termination that no such word as fail
should be considered; with energy
and vigor they pushed the work, and
unbounded success crowned their ex

dollars was subscribed and placed in
ho hinds of the Supterintendeut
Rev. J. W. Ellington, to make the
purchases, which be did to firn best
advantage, and during the day, Fri
day, willing hands were busily engag
ed arranging the articles upon a love

church. When every thing had been
placed upon the tree, the doors were

bright cherry faces of the little ones
