[ TO THE VOTERS OF BRYAN COUNTY
1 In an election, there are many people who do a lot of work and $
j receive very little credit for it. I would like to express my appre- |
1 ciation to the following: j
To The Voters C
j To The Poll Workers j
[ To The Registrars r
j And in general, to the many people who participated in our ]
1 democratic process of electing county officials.
It is going to be a hard task to follow the late Kyle Smith, who J
served as Sheriff of Bryan County 15 years. He was a dedicated (
[ law enforcement officer. C
I made certain "promises" during the campaign, and I intend to
see that they are kept. The Sheriff's Office will have regular of
fice hours and it will be run in a business like manner.
The laws will be enforced for everyone. There will be no group
that will be entitled to "special" privileges.

Mr. Carlos Cowart is still in
Memorial Hospital where he
went for treatment and some
x-rays, at last accounts he was
getting along nicely, and it was
thought the last of the past
week that he would soon be
home, and he may be by this
time. We will check on him be
fore the paper gets out and
give you the latest news on his
condition.

Mrs. Harn has made many
friends during the years she
has served as Deputy Clerk of
Superior Courts, she has two
children and seeks the office to
help her complete their educa

Due to the fact that Mrs.
Harn is a cripple, and the time
is short she says she will have
to rely on her many friends
-that she has made as Deputy
Clerk, and who she has served
to help her in her race. How
ever she is going to see as

In almost eighteen years as
Deputy Clerk I have been called

should make me qualified to
hold this office.
I am a graduate of Bryan

in the Mercer Graduate Schoo),
as well as courses at Georgia

It will not be possible for
me to see all of you before elec

friends to support me with their
votes, and to speak up for me
to the voters who do not know
me personally.
I feel that this job is more
important to me than to anyone
else concerned in this election.
1 really need it and will appre
