The marriage of Sharon Lynn
Brannen, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Purvis E, Brannen, Sr.,
to Carlos Wayne Collins, son
of Mr. and Mrs. Dessie L. Col
lins of Metter, took place Sep
tember 14 at 4 p.m. in the First
Baptist Church of Pembroke.
The Rev. John R, Joyner offi
ciated.
The bride was given in mar
riage by her father. Miss Emi
ly I’iekett, cousin of the bride,
was maid of honor and brides
maids were Miss Gail Douglas,
cousin of the groom. Miss Mar
jorie Nolan, and Miss Cheryl
Davis, both cous i n s of the
bride, and Miss Linda Speir.
Andrea Brannen, sister of the
bride was flower girl.
Best man was Billy Collins,
brother of the groom. Ushers
were Eric Brannen, brother of
the bride, Edwin Brantley,
Michael McGowan, and Gary
Douglas, cousin of the groom.
Bill Warnell was ringbearer.
Music was furnished by Mrs.
Lloyd Geyer, organist, and Mrs.
Oren Bacon, pianist. Miss Jan
Martin was soloist.
A reception was given at the
home of the bride. Guest were
met at the door by Mrs. Ed
ward Nolan, aunt of the bride.
Miss Anna Rea Foss, cousin of
the bride kept the Bridge’s
Book.
Mrs. Grayson Douglas, aunt
of the groom, cut the wedding
cake Mrs. Luther Bacon pre
sided over the punch bowl, as
sisted by Miss Shirley Brewton
and Miss Bea Bacon. Mrs. R.
B. Reed, aunt of the bride, di
rected the guests to the gift
room.
Mr. and Mrs. Collins will
reside in Statesboro where they
will attend Georgia Southern
College.
