Samia Chuis did come!
KOS here are some things that grown-ups can't
'J acedia explain to a child. When a little girl has been
a S°° d li,tle g' rl - how can you tell her that
I HW^e Santa Claus won't be able to bring the
feSi doll she wants for Christmas?
The Atlanta employes of the Georgia
Power Company and their families didn't want anybody trying
to.explain such a thing to any little girl. They offered to help
the elves in Santa s workshop, and the Salvation Army brought
them 1,1 ©0 dolls to dress.
Manx' of our women employes scurried about the town on
their lunch hour. They rushed into shop after shop, for each
person had a special doll to dress for a special little girl, so the
dress material had to be special, too. They bought silk and satin

A few days ago it was the pleasure of the Journal Editor and wife, along with their friends the Jim Rogers family of
Decatur, to make a tour of the display of pretty dressed dolls in the Georgia Power Building on Peachtree Street in Atlanta as
the guest of the Advertising Manager of the Georgia Power Company. The above picture is just one section of the Doll Display,
it is one of the finest projects that we have ever seen that is put on by our large companies. Georgia Power Company is
to be congratulated on this project, but we realize that it is just a part of their program of being a part and a citizen wherever
they serve. Ye Editor has known the officials of the Power Company for more than 50 years, and have always found each
and everyone of them outstanding for their jobs. It was a treat for all of us to visit the Doll Display. F. O. M.

WISHING EACH AND EVERYONE A MERRY CHRISTMAS - AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR
and lace. I hey bought broadcloth and gingham and denim.
Then they took the dolls home and worked long hours with
scissors, needles and thread. They stitched buttons and ruffles
and bows until at last every doll was dressed.
When all the dolls were gathered, what a wonderful sight
they made! 1 here was a doll that would brighten the heart of
any little girl.
It was fun to dress the dolls, said those who had helped the
elves. It was fun to do it last year but even more fun this year.
How many dolls, they asked, may we dress next Christinas?
For they know how little girls dream. They know the sound
of sleigh bells over snow is a soft and wonderful music that
echoes in a child's heart from one Christmas to the next.

they point out, in all honesty, 1
that some of the answers were
so diverse as to be impossible :

stuffed animals (including one
request for a stuffed tiger), a
piccolo, a trumpet mouthpiece.
There was a surprise in the 1
fact that more cats were listed >

There was one order for a fe- 1

ever, there was a request for a :
doghouse. Some realists — or
mercenaries — voted for the 1
