ATLANTA (PRN) - Ray
King, a native of Atlanta, has
been appointed Vice President
and General Manager of Store
Planning and Equipment
Consultants, Inc. in Atlanta,
Georgia. Mr. King is a graduate
of Southern Tech with a
degree in Mechanical
Technology. He has previously
worked with The Kroger
Company and Henry V. Dick
& Company in the Atlanta
area. An Army veteran, he is
married with three children.
Established in early 1968,
Store Planning and Equipment
Consultants, Inc. is the north
Georgia distributor for Warren
commercial refrigeration
equipment. Other services
include supporting lines of
refrigeration equipment, store
fixtures for the food retailing
industry, store planning and
layout.
Georgia Press
Convention To
Begin July 3
SAVANNAH (PRN) -
Some 600 people, publishers,
editors and staff members of
Georgia newspapers, will
convene here Thursday (July
3) for the 83rd annual
convention of the Georgia
Press Association.
Jack Lough, publisher of
the Albion (Neb.) News, and
president of the National
Newspaper Association; Paul
Muse, publisher of the
Potomac News, Dumfries, Va.;
Agriculture Commissioner
Thomas Irvin and Governor
Lester Maddox are to be the
featured speakers.
President Thomas Frier,
publisher of the Douglas
Enterprise, will make his
report to the convention at
the concluding luncheon on
Saturday, July 5.
A special program of
activities has been planned for
children and teenagers of
delegates, under the direction
of members of the Georgia
College Piess Association.
A special train will depart
Atlanta, July 2 carrying some
100 persons. It will return on
July 6.
Winners of the Georgia
Better Newspaper Contest will
be honored at the annual
awards dinner, Friday, July 4
at which Past President Kirk
Sutlive of Savannah, will serve
as master of ceremonies.
Mrs. Jewell Vineen & daugh
ters Connie and Nancy, of
Charleston, South Carolina are
visiting her parents Mr. and
Mrs. Earl S h u ma n, Route 1
Pembroke.
Mrs. Vineen will be remem
hered as Miss Jewell Shuman.
Extension
Office Moves
The Bryan County Extension
office is now located at the
courthouse in the new annex
attached to the Bryan County
health center. Coming in from
the recreation side, the Exten
sion office is located to the
right of the center entrance.
The new office will house the
Extension secretary and three
agents.
We extend to the farmers,
homemakers, 4-H’ers and the
general public of Bryan County
an invitation to come by and
visit us. We look forward to
better serving you in our new
office.
