To The Qualified Voters of Mitchell
County.
day Notice of is hereby given that on the 20th
April, 1904, an election will be
held in the county of Mitchell, at which
will be submitted to the qualified voters
of said County for their determination
the question whether bonds shall be is¬
sued by said county for the purpose of
providing funds with which to build and
equip a jail in said county. Fifteen The amount
ofasaid Dollars bonds to be Thousand
($15.000.) which are to bear date
of June 1st, 1904, and bear interest at
the rate of Five per cent, per annum,
payable semi-annually, In on the first day
of principal January and July each year, Five the
to be paid as follows:
Hundred Dollars ($500.) on the first of
January 1906, and Five Hundred Dollars
($500.) on the first days of January in
each succeeding year thereafter, up to
and including Hollars January 1st, 1923, and One
Thousand ($1000 .) being the re¬
mainder of said principal, on the first
day of January 1934, when said bonds
are to be fully paid off. Both principal payable,
and interest of said bonds to be
in gold coin of the United States of the
present standard of weight and fineness.

All those desiring to vote in favor of
the issue of said bonds will do so by
casting ballots having written or printed
on them the words “For Bonds”; those
desiring to vote against said issue, will
do so by casting ballots having written
or printed upon them the words,
“Against Bonds.”

Petition for Charter.
GEORGIA—Mitchell County.
To the Superior Court of said County:
The petition of F. W. Franklin, A. T.
Grant and F. Anthony all residents of
said county, shows:
1st, Petitioners desire for themselves,
their associates and successors to be in¬
corporated under the name and style of
“Knights of the Cross.”
2nd. The term for which petitioners
desire incorporation is twenty years,
with of that the privilege of renewal at the end
time.
3rd. The object of said proposed cor¬
poration Petitioners is not pecuniary profit or social, gain.
propose to conduct a
moral and benevolent • organization for
the enlightenment and advancement of
its members in character and conduct.
4tli. Petitioners desire the rights to
purchase and hold real and personal
property and receive donations and be¬
quests, to have a corporate seal, to sue
and be sued and do all acts incident to
such a society and the proper conduct
of same.
5th. The principal chapter of said or¬
ganization will be near Camilla, said
county.
Wherefore petitioners desire to be
made a body corporate, under the name
and style aforesaid, entitled to therights, to"
privileges liabilities and immunities and subject
the fixed by law.

DISSOLUTION NOTICE.
The law firm of I. A. Bush & Sons is
tliis day dissolved by mutual consent,
Mr. M. E. Bush retiring from the active
practice of the law. Mr. I. A. Bush will
continue to practice in all the courts ex¬
cept the City Court of Camilla. Mr. R.
D. Bush will practice in all the courts.
Except by special arrangement, each
member of the old firm will hereafter

GEORGIA —Mitchell County.
To the Superior Court of said county:
The petition of J. L. Green and M. C.
respectfully Kinney, both of said state and county,
shows:
associates, 1. They desire for themselves, their
successors, and assigns, to be¬
come style incorporated uuder the name and
of “Pelham Cooperage and Manu¬
facturing Company.”
'2. The term for which petitioners ask
to be incorporated is twenty years, with
the privilege of renewal at the end of
that time.
3. The capital stock of said corpora¬
tion is to be four thousand dollars, divided
into shares of the par value of one hun¬
dred Dollars each. Petitioners further
ask the privilege of increasing said capi¬
tal stock, from time to time, to any
amount lars. not exceeding ton thousand dol¬

four thousand dollars has already been
actually paid in.
6th. The object of the proposed cor¬
poration is pecuniary profit and gain to
its stockholders, and the particular busi¬
ness which petitioners propose for said
corporation to carry on is the buying,
manufacturing, dealing selling and otherwise
in and with barrels, buckets,
crates, boxes and other similar articles
and other products and articles that may
inor be profitably within manufactured, sold, or dealt
connection with said business
mentioned; owning, operating and deal¬
ing andtimber in and with saw mills, shingle mills,
interests; the acting as general
or special agents for other persons or 'com¬
panies, and the exercising of the usual
powers and the doing of all usual and
proper acts which pertain to or may be
connected with said business.
6th. The principle office and pla.ee of
business of the proposed corporation will
be in the town of Pelham, Georgia, and

Notice of Election.
Pursuant to the following resolution
an election will be held at the Court
House, in Camilla, Georgia, on the last
Saturday in April, 1904, for the purpose
of ascertaining whether or not the pro¬
visions of the Act of the Legislature men¬
tioned below shall be ratified and go in¬
to effect, and for the purpose of electing
nine members of the Board of Education
as provided in said act.
Whereas, in pursuance of an Act of
approved the Legislature' August of the State of Georgia
18th, 1908, and em¬
bodied in the Georgia Laws of 1903, pp,
204 aud 210 inclusive, the Mayor and
Council of the Town of Camilla did, on
September 28th. 1903, order an election
to be held in said town, under said Act,
for the purpose of ascertaining whether
said Act should be ratified by the voters
of said town, and for the election of nine
members of the Board of Education pro¬
vided in said Act; and,
Whereas, owing to defects and mis¬
takes in the manner of calling, adver¬
tising, and holding said election, the
same Now was Therefore, never legally be held: resolved
it by the
Mayor and Council of said town:
I. That the foregoing recitals of fact

II. That, the ' date of said election,
called as aforesaid, be, and the same is
hereby, changed to be the last Saturday
in April. 1904, and an election, undpr
•said Act, be, and the same is hereby, or¬
dered and caMed to he held, as provided
in said Act, on the last Saturday in
April 1904, for the purpose of ascertain¬
ing whether or not the provisions of said
Act shall go into effect and for the pur¬
pose Board of of electing Education, nine members of the
as provided in said
Act.
HI. That notice of said election be
publishing given by the Mayor of said town by
this ^solution, and by such
further notice as may be proper, as pro¬
vided by law.
At said election all persons qualified
to vote in the County of Mitchell for
members of the General Assembly and
who shall haveTtesided in the territory
embraced in a circle, with a radius of
two miles, place having for its center the cen¬
ter of the where the Court House
of Mitchell County stood on September
11-th, 1891, aud who have registered and
are otherwise qualified as provided in
said Act, shall be entitled to vote. Those
favoring the ratification of said Act,
shall have written or printed on their
ballots the words “For Public Schools.”
and those opposed, to the ratification of
said Act .shall have written or printed
on their ballots the words “Against Pub¬
lic Schools. ’ ’ All persons voting in said
election shall be also entitled to vote for
nine members of the Board of Educa¬
tion, as provided in said Act.
