Mr. Joe Faircloth and wife and daughter attended Sunday School Sunday afternoon. Mr. Pace of Shellman, passed through this community Monday en route to Pelham. We are sorry to learn of the death of Old Colonel Bush. While we did not know him, we have known of him a long time. We know him to be the father of Col, Bush of Camilla, of whom wo all think a great deal, and sym¬ pathize with him, hoping that God will help him to bear his troubles. Just three weeks ago 1 passed through Miller county and saw the old gentleman standing on his porch. So many of our old friends are passing away. “Oh why do we mourn for our departed friends, or shake at death’H alarm. only a voice that Jesus sends to call them to liisarms.” —Aunt Jane. Preaching at the Baptist Church. The Enterprise is requested to announce that there will be preaching at, the Baptist church in Camilla, by Dr. W. L. Curry, of Pelham, as temporary supply, at 11 o’clock a. m. and 8 o’clock p. in- on the 1st and 3rd Sundays in each month. Everybody is cor¬ dially invited to attend. Church Confer¬ ence of the Albany District will convene with Brown Chapel Church in Camilla, June 22nd to 26th, and, tnough the congrega¬ tion is small, they have struggled hard and faithfully to get their house of worship repaired and ready for the conference. At least one hundred and fifty delegates and many visitors will be in attendance upon the con¬ ference and we will be compelled to call upon our friends and all lovers of Christ, to help us in any way they can. I shall call upon both white and colored for he p. Our church stands for purity in character, faithfulness in life, honesty in principle and a pure gospel. Bishop L. H. Holesey will pre¬ side at the entire session and will lecture each day upon such sub¬ jects as may come before the conference. Dr. I.C. Person, General Sec¬ retary of Missions: Dr. G. \V. Steward, jSecretarv of the Ep worth League; It. 1). Dudley, Presiding Elder of the South Georgia Conference, and a num¬ ber of other prominent among the colored people will be present. The Woman Board of will hold their meeting at sam8 time and place. Anything given to help care of this delegation will highly appreciated and applied. I feel sure that the erous white people of will help U3 and that our patriot¬ ic people will not let me fail in this effort to entertain the ference. On Friday, June 24th at o’clock, our honorable Mr. J. Palmer, will deliver welcome address in behalf of the citizens of Camilla.
