SYLVESTER HAPPY
Over the Removal of County
Seat From Isabella Today.
Sylvester, Ga., July 1.—Syl¬
vester is rejoicing over the fact
that the bil* has passed both hous
es of the legislature and will be
3’gned today by the governor,
making this the county seat of
Vfcrth county. This bill becomes
effective at once, and the officers
are very much astir to get moved
down from Isabella, as all busi¬
ness in the courts must be done
here to be valid after the gover¬
nor signs the bill.
This will be the clo-e of a hard
fight of more than twenty year.:
trying to move the county seat
from Isabella, in the woods, lo
some place of the railroad. Al¬
most every town on the railroad
has tried at some time tc get the
county eeat.
Mr. 0. A. Alford is just back
from North Carolina, and says
he will give his entire time to
completing his railroad from Car¬
lisle on the Georgia Northern
railroad into Sylvester, where it
is to connect with a road graded
from Sylvester to Ashburn, on
ihe Georgia Southern and Flori
da.

The 150 orphan children at the

The great care that weighs up¬
on the sick man is the thought of
these helpless little ones. Ho
ought to be relieved at once of
this burden upon his mind. It is
necessary to a large extent to his
own welfare. The children will
soon be in need if they are not in
need now.
The people of Georgia ought f o
take hold promptly and help these
children and their benefactor—
Dr Mumford.
