Better Than Pills.
The question has been asked—In What
way are Chamberlain’s Stomach and
Liver Tablets superior to the ordinary
cathartic and liver pills? Our answer is
—They are easier and more pleasant to
take and their effect is so gentle and so
agreeable that one hardly realizes that it
is produced by a medicine. Then they
not only move the bowels but improve
the appetite and aid the digestion. For

The Difference.
Little Rodney—Papa, what is
the difference between climate
and weather? Wayout (of Dis
mathurst-on the- Blink)—Climate,
my son, is what a locality has
when you are buying a home
there, and weather is what it has
afterward — Puck.

Why They Smiled.
Brother Jones was noted for
his long and laborious prayers,
and although the good people of
the church respected him they
were not at ali pleased to hear
him pray in meeting. The new
minister was not aware of Broth¬
er Jones’ unpopularity as a
“prayer,” so he had no idea why
a ripple of amusement passed
over the congregation when, af¬
ter a hymn had been sung, he
said, “Brother Jones will lead us
in prayer,i’ and in a fervent tone
added, “and may God help us.”
