Do Something.
Too many young men spend
their best days worthlessly and
valueless “waiting for something
to turn up.” Every young man 19
the master of his own situation in
life. If something doesn’t “turn
up” he should get busy, if he
would make a worthy record and
turn up something. Young taan,
if yon would do something in this
world, you must get up and move.
You have your destiny in your
own hands. It depends on your
conduct, your actions and on
your every step, as to whether
your life will be a success or a
failure. If you are poor and with¬
out help and must go it alone
then that is much better. For
the best men this country has
ever furnished to the world, or
ever will, came from that cla3s
miM0m r
of boys without opportunity
who made their own way regard¬
less of hardship. A careful study
of the lives or the successful men
of our country, wen of business,
professional and all lines- will
prove this statement correct. It is
not the opportunity that makes
the man but it is the man who
makes the opportunity that writes
his name on the pages of history
and leaves his work to be remem¬
bered. Do something for your¬
self. Don’t wait. Time is
able and every moment is golden.
Do something now. —Ex.

Streets Of A Tow n.
Poor streets will do for a dead
community, but no town that has
any enterprise about it will neg¬
lect its streets.
Secure good streets, and then
keep them clean. Much of the
dirtiness of the streets could be
prevented if the citizens would
be a little more careful. A greater
use of ash barrels or rubbish cans
would keep from the streets a
large portion of the litter that
now disfiguies them.
Nothing gives more agreeable
first impressions of a city or town
than the cleanliness of its streets,
stores and public places and it
may draw to them many inhabi¬
tants and large investments.
Poor streets discourage those
who would improve and beautify
their premises, while clean, well
paved streets force many im¬
provements, and there is a gener¬
al fixing up of residence front

A CONTINUAL STRAIN.
Many men and women are constantly
subjected to what they commonly term
"a continual strain” because of some fi¬
nancial or family trouble. It wears and
distresses them both mentally and phy¬
sically, affecting their nerves badly and
bringing on liver and kidney ailments,
with the attendant evils of constipation,
loss of appetite, sleeplessness, low vital¬
ity mid despondency. They cannot, as a
rule, get rid of this “continual strain,”
but they can remedy its health-destroy¬
ing effects by taking frequent doses of
Green’s August Flower. It tones up the
liver, stimulates the kidneys, insures
healthy bodily functions, gives vim and
spirit to one’s whole being, and event¬
ually dispels the physical or mental dis¬
tress caused by that “continual strain.”
Trial bottle of August Flower, 25c; reg¬
ular size, 75c. At all druggists.
