Camilla, Oct., Deo, 2 , 1004,
A HAPPY MEETING.
They Had Not Seen Each Other
in 33 Years.
Mr. J. H. Bailey was the hap¬
piest man in Camilla on Thanks¬
giving day, unless it was his
equally happy brother, who, with
his wife had come all 'ha way from
their home near Lexington, Ky.,
that they might spend Thanks¬
giving with the brother he had
notse.en in thirty-three years.
Mr. Theodore Bailey, when a
young man left Camilla oh the
night of November 21th, 1871,
and returned to the old home
town at the close of the day of
November 24tb, 1901, after an
absence of thirty-three years to
a day, during which time the two
brothers had not seen each other.
Mr. George Swindle brought
Mr. and Mrs. Bailey from the
depot in his omnibus, and when
he told Mr. J. H. Bailey that his
brether had come, he thought
that they were trying to play a
joke on him and did not want to
believe it, but when Mr. Theo¬
dore Bailey showed up and spoke
to his brother, there was no more
room for doubt, but a joyous,
happy meeting, a fitting scene
for a splendid thanksgiving day.
Mr. Bailey, though having been
away for so long a time met
many of the people he knew in
his young days, many of whom
he recognized at once, and a
warm greeting was given him.
wherever he went.
Mr. and Mrs. Bailey, after a
pleasant week with the brother
and his family, left last Sun¬
day on the return trip to their
Kentucky home.
After An Absence Of 25 Yeans.
Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Swindle re¬
turned last week to their old
home in Hicks, Madison couatv,

twenty-five years, and while there
they are the guests of Mr, Swin¬
