The addition to the residence
of Mr. C. L. Taylor having been
completed, the family has moved
in and, with elegant new furnish¬
ings, are as “snug as a bug in a
rug.” .
Mrs. Mattie Post and Mrs. Ma¬

It is impossible for a country
newspaper to have reporters in
every place, and if you have
friends visiting you or if you are
going away, it would aid the ed¬
itor very materially in furnishing
the local news of the town if you
would furnish the office with the
information.
Superintendent Smith, who is
looking after the building of the
jail, returned Monday afternoon
from Beuna Vista, with a lot of
hands and now hopes to be able
to push the work along more rap¬
idly.
The stork has visited quite a
number of homes in Camilla re¬
cently, leaving little strangers to
bless and brighten. The many
friands of Judge and Mrs, Spence
sympathize with them in the loss
of theirs.
The committee appointed by
Council to look after the water¬
works and electric light plant
are negotiating fpr a civil en¬
gineer to come to Camilla and
make the survey and estimate the
cost so th&t work can be started
at an early day.
Invitations to the marriage of
Miss Ada, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Wilburn Williams, to Mr.
Samuel Hiram Peacock, have
been sent out. The happy event
is to take place at Mr. Williams
home a few miles east of Camilla,
on December twelth.
Capt. W. T. Forester, one of
the most pleasant conductors on
the Coast Line, has returned to
run between Thomasviile and
Albany, after a pleasant hunting
trip down in the land of flowers.
Among the many game killed
was a 350-pound black bear and
a three pronged buck.
One of the enjoyable events of
last week to the lads and lasses
in town, was the entertainment
given by Miss Pearl Taylor on
the evening of Thanksgiving.
Games that delight the hearts of
the young were engaged in and
refreshments ot cake and de¬
licious, hot chocolate served.
