onment in the penitentiary.

adjourned over till Monday of

session until Tuesday afternoon,

Henry Thomas was putor trial
for rape, found guilty and given

Ed Clarke, alias Will Olarke,
was put on trial for baurglary,
found guiilty and sentenoed to
fifteen yeaw in the penitentiary.
These were all the cases in
which penitentiary sentences
weie pronounced, and the En¬
terprise .understands that mo¬
tions for aew trials have been
•made in both the murder .cases,

Mystery Shrouds Death.
Colquitt, Ga., Feb. 7.—Ed Crof
ford was found dead yesterday
morning 4 miles west of here by
Dr. E. B. Bush, who was called
out to see some one sick. He was
found in Iront of P. W. Roberts’
house. It is supposed his horse
killed him. The coroner held an
inquest, but failed to disclose the
cause of death.
