Robley Male Quartet.
The next lyceum attraction to
appear in Camilla will be one of
the most enjoyable to visit us this
season. The Robley Male Quar¬
tet, which bears the reputation of
being among the best quartets in
the employ of the Alkahest
Lyceum, will be here on the even¬
ing of November 30th and the local
management is expecting a large j
attendance.
Our people liaye always ap¬
peared to be partial to good sing
ing and they will thoroughly en¬
joy the coming attraction.
The following clipping from the
Telfair Enterprise, published at
McRae, where the quartet sang
recently, is only one of many
recomendations they have re¬
ceived from the Georgia Press:
“One of the most delightful and
greatly enjoyed entertainments
ever given under the lyceum
courses was that of last Friday
night when the Robley Male
Quartet appeared here. Not with
standing the fact that the Mighty
Haag shows were here also, a good
crowd was out and only expres¬
sions of pleasure have been heard
as to the evening’s entertainment.
Their solo work and the quartet
also were of a high order. And
the reader was simply line. The
voices of the tenor and bass were
the best for solo work, but the
harmony in the quartet singing
was very line, especially in the
selections that were softly ren¬
dered. ’ ’
