Tampa, St. Petersburg and other
places in Florida on a two weeks vaca¬
tion.
Mr. and Mrs. Ira Smith, of Cross
City, Fla., came up the latter part of
last week to visit Mr. and Mrs. B. J.
Marshall, Mr. Smith returning Sun¬
day. Mrs. Smith will spend a week
or so longer.

Bennet arrived here Friday night on
their way home to Atlanta after a
vacation trip to Winter Haven and
Miami, Fla., and were week-end
guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Turner.
Mrs. Audrey King and baby, of
Miami, Fla., arrived here the latter
part of last week to visit her parents,
Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Marshall, for a
while. She was the guest of her
brother, Mr. B. J. Marshall and family
the first of the week.
Miss Helen Lewis left Tuesday with
Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Roddenberry, of
Cairo, on a two months tour of the
west, visiting points of interest in
Mexico, Texas, California, Yellow¬
stone and the other parks and natural
beauty spots.
Mr. and Mrs. S. H.- Floyd and sons,
Schuyler and Elmore, arrived here
Monday from New Orleans, La^,
where they have been spending sev¬
eral weeks, to visit relatives at the
McNair Hotel before returning to
their home at Jacksonville, Fla.
Dr. S. L. Crow, of Atlanta, arriv¬
ed in the city Monday afternoon to
spend several days visiting his par¬
ents, Sheriff and Mrs. C. D. Crow. Dr.
Crow graduated this year from the
medical department of Emory Uni¬
versity, where he made a fine record
as a student. He is now serving as
an interne at Grady Hospital in At¬
lanta where he will get experience
that will serve him in future years in
the practice of his profession.

Mrs. W. T. Williford was brought
home the latter part of last week from
Atlanta, where she has been under
treatment at Wesley Memorial Hos¬
pital for the past several weeks.
Though she has not recovered her
strength, she is doing well, which is
highly pleasing to her friends.
Master Joe Barber Adams was a
much enjoyed host on Friday after¬
noon at a birthday party at the home
of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. C.
Adams. There were many atttrac
tive games on the lawn and all sPrts

Titusville, Fla., where he is planning

Cochran will join him there later
when he has made permanent loca¬
tion. Their many friends here deep¬
ly regret Mr. and Mrs. Cochran’s de¬
cision to move to Florida and hope
that their residence there may be very
prosperous, though of short duration
before they return to Camilla.

HERBERT HAYES ENTERTAINS.
Herbert Hayes was a much enjoyed
host last Friday evening to the Junior
social contingent at the home of
parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Hayes.

as the guests arrived. Proms, games
and music made the evening a

Athens Short Course
Mitchell County is this week repre¬
sented .at the short course given in
Athens for the 4-H Club by ten of her
girls, who go from different clubs of
the county. They were accompanied
by Miss Foy under whose supervision
they will be while away.
