In the rush of our human hurry, we
are too aften stopped by that most
despairing bulwark that dread ene
my —death—to pause in obedience to
the command, “Be Still, I am He that
Giveth, and He that Taketh,” Thus,
we were called up to pause on May
28, 1925, to receive the message that
one of cur rank had fallen before the
our sister in Christ, had an
swered the last earthly call, and
spirit had wended its flight to the
abode of the “faithful ones” to
the final summons of those” who
in the Lord.

Rear Camilla Drug Co. G. H. Fitzgerald, Prop.
We do not weep for her, but with
“those who weep” their sorrow is
ours—in our earthly labors for the
advancement of the Kingdom, she was
truly a helpmeet, and her greatest
joy was to be of service to her fel
lowman and her Lord.
In recognizing our loss from the
Bonnie Hunter Circle, the Womans
Missionary Society, the Philathea
Sunday School Class, the Baptist
church, we resolve, First: That in the
death of Mrs. Mittie Palmer Spence,
the Baptist church of Camilla, in all
its departments, realizes that there is
a vacant place in its ranks, but we do
not sorrow as those who have no hope.
Second: That every department strive
to emulate her examples of faithful¬
ness, liberality, hospitality and obed¬
ience to Christian duty.
Third: That a copy of these resolu¬
tions be spread upon the minutes of
the Womans Missionary Society; a
copy be sent the Christian Index, and
a copy sent her son, J. R. Spence.
Respectfully submitted,
Mrs. J, M. Spence,
Mrs. B. F. Collins,
Committee.
