ies again, after spending several days
with Mr. J. W. Williams and family

North Carolina with relatives and
friends.
Mrs. T. C. Palmer and Mrs. Louise
Dowling left Saturday for their home
at Greenville, S. C., after spending a
week or so here visiting with rela¬
tives.
Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Sloan are the
recipients of the profuse congratula¬
tions of their friends on the birth of
a fine baby son to them Sunday at the
hospital in Thomasville.
Mr. and Mrs. C. J. King and attrac¬
tive children, Rachel, Rebecca and
Clyde, Jr., of Ousley, spent the lat¬
ter part of last week here visiting
Mrs. King’s sister, Mrs. Bob Taylor.
Miss Anne Rainey left Monday
night for College Park, where she is
spending the week visiting with rela¬
tives and attending the Southeastern
Fair.
Mr. T. P. Carithers, of Bowman,
spent several days in the city this
week prospecting. He is well pleas¬
ed with this place and will very prob¬
ably locate here.

ing an operation two weeks ago at

Mrs. J. W. Fussell, of Atlanta, who
has been visiting the family of Mrs.
J. J. Stewart for two weeks on ac¬
count of the illness of her grandson,
Hinton Fussell, returned home yes¬
terday.
Mr. and Mrs. Sam Harmon, of
Hopeful comunity, are receiving the
congratulations of friends over the ar¬
rival of a fine baby son at their home
last week. The young man has been
named Carroll Spence.
The many friends of Miss Ruby
Hartley are glad that she was able to
resume her duties Monday as Second
grade teacher in Camilla Public
Schools after an illness of several
days last week.

shall and children, Mrs. Wooten and
Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Commander went
up to Dawson Sunday, spending the
day with Mr's. Commander’s brother,
Mr. W. O. Jordan and family.

which is pleasing to their many

It will be very gratifying to the
friends of Mrs. I. Smith to know that
she has been doing splendidly since
her operation at the hospital in Thom¬
asville last week and was able to leave
the hospital Monday and return to her
home at Ochlocknee.

Mrs. W. B. Freeman, of Talbotton,
and Mr. J. M. Heath, of Atlanta,
spent Monday in the city visiting with
friends and looking after business in
connection with their mother’s es¬
tate.
Dr. and Mrs. J. A. McDaniel took
their young daughter, Miss Mary Mc¬
Daniel, down to Bainbridge Tuesday
morning, where she underwent an ope¬
ration for appendicitis at the hospital.
She stood the operation well and has
been making satisfactory progress
toward gaining her strength, which
is good news to the many friends of
the young lady aftd her parents.
