Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Raiford moved here last week from their former home at Cuthbert and are occupying the cottage in Bennett Park recently vacated by Mrs. I. Maples. Mr. Rai¬ ford has a position with the Georgia Motor Co. Mrs. C. M. Brakefield, of Ocala, Fla., and Mrs. W. H. Roberson, of Folkston, arrived here Sunday to be with their mother, Mrs. Margaret Thaxton, who is very ill at the home of her daughter, Mrs. B. L. Holton. Mr. R. L. Hoggard was able to be out again Tuesday after having been kept at home for several days suffer¬ ing with a pretty bad attack of flu. His many friends will be glad to know of his recovery. Holton in the illness of Mrs. Hol¬ ton’s mother, Mrs. Margaret Thaxton, who has been in almost a dying condi¬ tion for several days, with slight hopes of change for the better. Mr. Lamar Cox returned Friday from Washington, D. C., where he had been spending several days visit¬ ing his parents, Congressman and Mrs. E. E. Cox, and family and re¬ ports that they are enjoying their first season in the capital city.
