Bond Election
MEIGS, Ga.—The question of is¬
suing bonds for the purpose of pav¬
ing certain city streets will come be¬
fore the people for their decision on
February 25, following action of the
city council.
The paving project follows the de¬
cision of Thomas county to pave the
highway through the city. This
highway will be eighteen feet wide
and it is the decision of the council
to make this street twenty-six feet
in width and also to pave certain
parts of the business section of the
city. The estimated cost of the pro¬
ject is placed at $30,000. Present
indications are that the bond issue
will find little opposition.
