The Mosquito In A New
Light.
It was tiie first night Pat and Mike
spent in America* They secured a
small room at a boarding-house.
There were no screens at the win¬
dows. Being afraid of robbers, Fa'
and Mike decided to let the light
burn all night Soon the mosquitoes
became intolerable.
“Let’s turn out the light so they
can’t find us,” said Pat.
In a short while some fireflies flit¬
ting about entered the room.
Never having seen any before Mike
exclaimed:
“UuIlyGee! Pat, they’re coinin’
after us with their lanterns!”

FALSE CLAIMS.
A number of business colleges and
schools have been claiming to teach
the genuine famous Byrne Simpli¬
fied Shorthand. Their claims are
positiveiy untrue; they only have
some imitation system which does
not possess the merit of the sixth
edition of the Byrne Simplified
which is taught exclusively by the
Byrne Business Colleges in the states
where their schools are located.
Inasmuch as we are under con¬
tract to protect the Byrne Business
Colleges and in order that the public
may not be deceived by any false
reports, we give the names of the
Byrne Business Colleges and their
location: Tyler Commercial Col¬
lege, Tyler, Texas., Capital City
Business College, Guthrie, Okla.,
Fredonia Business On lege, Fredonia r
Kans.7 Columbus Business College,
Columbus, Miss., Athens Business
College, Athens, Ga.
A few years ago, when the Byrjje
Business Colleges were introducing
our system, Dies* very echo
loudest in their claims that t, <6 sys¬
tem would not make good, and now
since they have seen the Byrne
Business Colleges grow to be the
largest in the U. S., they want to ob¬
tain patronage under the false claim
that they are teaching the Byrne
Simplified. There is always a great
difference between the original and
the imitation.
