minie, all of said county, and W. M.
Dudley, A. Jeffreys and J. A. S. Wilson
of Calhoun County, Georgia, arul.C. H.
Valentine, G. W. Pringle and E. D.
Lomax of Thomas County, Georgia, for
themselves, their present and future
associates and successors, shows:
1. That they desire to be incorporat¬
ed for the full term of twenty years with
the right of renewal as a body corporate
under the name of the BENEVOLENT
HOME AND MUTUAL AID SOCIETY.
2. That the objects and purposes of
said organization are purely frateral and
benevolent, that they will have no capi¬

3. They desire to have the right and
power to organize a "State Cabinet Di¬
vision” under the above name and
style and to adopt a constitution, by¬
laws, rules and regulations for the
government of said Cabinet Division.
That they may have the right and power
to organize, establish and institute sub¬
ordinate divisions under the control and
supervision of said Cabinet Division.
4. That said Cabinet Division is to
have its headquarters and principal
place of business in the town of Pelham,
Mitchell County, Georgia, but it may
establish and organize subordinate di¬
visions in other counties of this State
and other States.
5. That the main object and purpose
of this organization and its subordinates
is the care of its sick and destitute mem¬
bers, the burial of the dead and the care
of the orphans of its deceased members,
and to this end they may charge such
clurter fees, institution fees, weekly or
monthly dues, or make assessments up¬
on its members as shall be provided
from time to time by its laws, and to pay
such sick benefits and funeral benefits
as may be frovided by its laws.
6. In the institution of subordinate
divisions the Cabinet Division may
charge such charter fees as may be pro¬
vided by its laws and may make laws
for, revoking and annuling such chart¬
ers and provide for the property of such
subordinates to be forfeited to the Cabi¬
net Division.
7. That said Cabinet Division may
make and provide such laws, rules and
regulations as are necessary to carry out
the objects and purposes of the organiza¬
tion, not in conflict with the laws of
this state.
8. That said Cabinet Division and
subordinate divisions may buy and hold
real estate, borrow money, make notes,
mortgages or deeds to secure loans, and
may loan its funds, may sue and be sued,
plead and be impleded, and have a com¬
mon seal for its Cabinet Division and
for its subordinate divisions, and have
the rights that are usually conferred on
such like corporations.
Wherefore petitioners pray to be made
a body corporate under the name and
style aforesaid, entitled to the rights,
prieileges and ■mmunities of such and
subject to the liabilities fixed by law.
