To The Democrats of The
Second Congressional
Distriot:
I am in receipt of a letter from
the chairman and s-creiftry of
the Finance Committee of the
National Democratic Committee,
addressed to me because of my
selection as presidential elector,
asking me to appeal to the
democrats of our district for
contributions to the campaign
fund of our party. The tide is
running high for our candidates
in the doubtful states, and their
election seems assured if sufficient
funds can be secured to properly
carry on the campaign. Our par
ty is asking only for small indi¬
vidual contributions and I urge
you to contribute, either through
the editor of your local paper,
or by sendingcontributio^u^irect Haskell, Treas
to Gov. C. N. ,
Auditorium Annex Chicago, or I
will take pleasure in forwarding
any contributions which may be
sent to me.

a veteran of the civil war, who lost
a foot at Gettysburg, says: “The
good Electric Bitters have done is
worth more than five hundred dol¬

doctoring for a bad case of stomach
trouble, to little purpose. I then
tried Electric Bitters, and they
cured me- I now take them as a
tonic, and they keep me strong and
well.’’ 60c at Hill &, t King's drug
