A Parson’s ’Possum Tale.
Rev. W. E. Murphey iB telling
a ’possum tale that would sound
quite fishy if we did not know of
his previously good reputation for
truthfulness. As it is, we don’t
hesitate to speak of the ’possum’s
“tail,” as well as “tale,” and feel
as safe in doing so aB if it was
our own story.
He was awakened Sunday
uight by a noise among the ehiek
ens, and, as it continued, he went
out to investigate and discovered
a good-sized young ’possum occu¬
pying a comfortable position on
the limb of a tree, from which
he had just pushed a big hen. Mr
Murphey reached up, and catch¬
ing the ’possum by the tail, drew
him down without trouble, and
next day served the young fellow
on his table.
Where the rambling ’possum
came from has not been ascer¬
tained —Meigs Review.

correct in all three respects.
Some of you haven’t worn one of the»e long,
soldier-like, button-to-the-neck-coats. You’ve admired
them on others. You'll want others to admire them
on you. We’re showing several styles; in rich browns,
olives and other medium and dark shades. The
