(First Baptist Church)
The Inviting Path.
It was a beautiful summer morning. The visitor from the city decided to go fora walk, taking his host’s little boy
with him, he chose a path that seemed very attractive and inviting. But the little fellow said: “Don’t take that path.
It’s all right at first, but before you get to the woods it leads through the awfullest patch of cockleburs and weeds you
ever saw.”—This is the trouble with a good many paths men travel. They look all right at first, hut by ai\d by come the
briars and cockleburs. Some puths that seem attractive at first, lose their beauty farther on. This is true of the paths
that lead throngh tho moral as well as the physical world. “Theae is a way that seemeth right unto a man; but the end
thereof are the ways of death.” Let us be sure that when we choose our paths that the weeds and cockleburs are not on
ahead.
THE OLD SCRAP IRON BIBLE CLASS
Belives Jeremiah was right when he said: “Stand ye in the ways and see, and ask for the OLD PATHS wherein is the
GOOD way; and walk therein and ye shall find rest for your soul.” Men need to be shown today Just where to “Jiead in,”
and God’s Eternal Word as faithtully and fearlessly expounded in teis class will show’ us the “Old Paths.” Did you ever
hear of ANY ONE’S being hurt morally, spiritually, or otherwise by coming to this Bible class? No, and you never will*
