TOBACCO MEN READY
' FOR OPENING OF THE
CAMILLA
Mr. S. W. Smith, manager
the Planters Tobacco Warehouse
Camilla, and Mr. H. N. Beasley,
secretary-treasurer of the company,
arrived in Camilla last wiek from
Wilson, N. C., for the purpose
opening the warehouse in that city
on August 6.
Mr. Smith will be in charge
the warehouse from now until
market closes. He has a force
experienced tobacco men to assist
him in the handling of the tobacco
at Camilla. Mr. Smith states that
he has had assurances all along
that all of the large concerns will
be represented and that Camilla
will have as good market as any
town in the Georgia tobacco belt,
and that the prospects for good
prices are better now than several
weeks ago, due to unfavorable
weather coudi'ions in the Caro
linas, which will cut the crop short

Green Sweet Potatoes
Shipped From Moultrie
Moultrie, Ga., July 21 —Heavy
express shipments of green sweet
potatoes are being moved from
Moultrie and nearby points. The
shippers declare that the prices are
very satisfactory. It is likely that
several cars of the green potatoes
will be shipped before August 1.
Some growers prefer this method
of selling potatoes rather ;hau
keeping them until they are cured.
