Planes for Explorers
An Italian airplane factory is said

To Clean Cane Seats
To clean cane-seated chairs, wash
them In ammonia and water put on
with a stiff brush; rinse well in cold
water and place in a current of air

New Auto Signal
A new rear signal for automobiles
displays the word “slow” in green
light when either the clutch or brake
pedal or brake is operated and “stop”

Shortest Railroad
The shortest railroad reporting to
the interstate commerce commission
is the Durham (N. C.) Union Station
company. The road is sixteen one
hundredths of a mile in length.

Notre Dame, the famous cathedral
of Paris, is doing away with its woman
bell ringer, and substituting electricity.
The cathedral’s official bell ringers for
generations have been women of one
