ACCIDENT DELAYS AMERICAN PLANES Reykjavik, Iceland.—The Ameri¬ can army round tthe world flyers attempted Monday to take off on the long North Atlantic hop off to Fredericksdal, near Cape Farewell, east of Greenland, and in doing so both of the planes were injured in perhaps the most serious mishap so far of the globe encircling trip. One of the machines broke its spreader bar and the second ma¬ chine broke its propeller. The accident was caused by the heavy load of gas put on the ma¬ chines for the next hop, which is the longest in the flight around the world. Repairs have already been com¬ pleted and the planes will resume their journey as soon as weather conditions permit Yes, Tobacco Mar¬ ket helps the Pelham Journal. * * * LOST—one red female setter being red with small w’hite specks on body.
