OBITUARY.
William B. H. Stewart, sou of W. R*
and. Nancy A. R. Stewart, and grandson
of Win. Brantley and Eliza Brantley, was
born in Washington county, Sept. 80th
1858, and dic'd on the 8th of Jauuary, 1871).
He was taken from tills life in the bloom
and prime of youth, iKiing in his 21st year.
The idol of liis mother and of the whole
family, and loved by all who knew him.
He was a consistent member of flic Meth
odist church, at. Pleasant Hill. In a fall
from a horse on tho 81st of December Inst
he received injuries which, in spite of the
best of nursing and the most skilful surgi
cal and medical attention from Dr. J. G.
Carter, resulted in dentil on the day ubove
named. He was conscious to the last,
talked freely and hopefully of the bright
future beyond the grave, and in Ills case
deatli was surely swallowed up in victory,
and all present were made to feel the force
of the Christian’s consolation iu the hour
of dissolution:
“O, death, where is thy sting! O, grave,
where is thy victory 1"
