“OARPT! DIEM.”
The morning sun is trembling on the
stream;
The green leaves wave in the cold
morning air;
Nature uncovers to the welcome
beam,
And every sight is fair.
Earth is not now, as it hath lately
been,
In winter’s dull, ice-woven fetters
bound;
Flowers of all hue put on their lus
trous sheen;
Sweet odors float around.
And birds of every wing and every
note
Pleasantly flutter in the pleasant
groves,
Warbling together from melodious
throat
The story of their loves.
No storms will darken o’er the azure,
way;
Nothing will hide the sunlight’s
merry march;
Heaven will o’erhang the revealing
earth to-day
One blue unclouded arch.
To-morrow may be dark with rain
and gloom—
Fear not, but take with thanks the
present hour;
To-day all pleasures in profusion
bloom;
To-day no tempests lower.
Full wisely hath the all-ofreseeing
heaven
Hid coming sorrows from our anx
ious eye,
And held in front a cloud, when man
has striven
To read his destiny.
For if he could behold the advancing
years,
And evil shadows following in their
train,

lege offer conclusive evidence that
Chartier Shorthand can be learned in
one-half the time and with one-fifth
the effort required for the old sys
tems, and that it makes a much bet
ter stenographer.
What’s the Use
to spend from six to ten months in*
studying any of the old systems
if you can learn Chartier Shorthand
in half the time at half the expense
and at the same time make a better
stenographer?
Thousands of boys and girls from
every section of the south will enter
business colleges during the months
of September and October. Any one
who intends to take a business course
will do himself a great injustice not
to investigate this wonderful system
of shorthand.
Does It Stand to Reason
that over two hundred of the biggest,
best, oldest and most conservative
business colleges of America, includ
ing the great Eastern college at
Poughkeepsie, N. Y., would adopt this
systems, and after thoroughly testing
it, would make the same claims that
we make for it, if these claims were
not true? Bagwell Business College
has on file a large number of letters
from these schools which state that
they have secured better results in
three to four months with Chartier
Shorthand than was possible In less
than six to eight months wjth any of
the old systems. These letters will be
shown to any who are interested.
