Grand Jury Presentments.
In obedience to a long established usage, the i
Grand Jurors of Fulton Superior Court for the
second week of the April Term, 1856, respect
fully make the following presentments.
We have oxamined the books of the various
departments of our country officers and find them
kept in a very creditable manner
We recommend that our Tax Collector, T.B
Dmiei. be allowed seven hundred and twenty
seven dollars und five cents of the annexed in
solvent tax payers list, which is the amount we
find of county and State tax that we tank is
insolvent.
In order to meet the demands upon our county
treasury we recommend the foPow'ng assessment
up< n the State tax :
For county Purposes. per cent.
Jail Expenses, **<> *
Jury Fees, 16 “ “
Poor School Fund, dO “ *’
DeKalb co. Debt. 10“ ”
Paupers,
Whereas, the court and office rooms in the
City Hall occupied by the county have been
furnished with gas fixtures, with the exception
of burners, we recommend the Inferior Court to
procure and attach suitable chandaliers.
We deplore and feel it our duty to complain
of the frequent escape of prisoners of this county
from DeKalb Jail, and think we have reason ei
ther to suspect the insufficiency of the jail or will
ful neglect on the part of the jailor.
We earnestly urge upon the Inferior Court to
have the Jail in this county cmunletedat th" ear
liest possible moment in order to reli' ve us fiom
the’cha-gex from contiguous counties for tlut sup
port of our prisoners.
We lecommend the Inferior Court to refund
to Samuel Walker, Esq., one hundred and sixty
dollars amount of error in his county tax overpaid
in the year 1854.
From the various parte of our county there is
a general complaintof the bad condition of our
roads, and we fenr there is neglig nee on the
part of our Inferior Court. Certainly there is
something grossly wrong and neglectful, and
calls for attention from the the proper authorities.
We present to his honor, Judge Bull, our sin
cere thanks for the able discharge of his duties
and tender to him our , armest wishes for bis
eealth and happiness.
To our Solicitor, Mr. Bleckley, we express our
entire satisfaction with him as a pro ecuting offi
cer, and thank him for his attention to our body.
We request the foregoing presentments to be
published in the city papers.

PROFESSOR O. J. WOOD— '
DEAR SIR : Unsolicited, 1 send you this
certificat,. After being nearly bald fora long
time, and having tried all the hair restoratives
extant, and having no faith in any, I was induc
ed, on hearing of yours to give it a trial. I plac
ed myself in the hands of a barber, and had my
head rubbed with a good still brush, and the Re
storative then applied and well rubbed, in till
the scalp was a glow. This I repeated every
morning, and in three weeks the young hair ap
peared, and grew radidly from August last till
the present time, and is now thick, black, and
strong—sott and pleasant to the touch ; whereas
before, it was harsh and wiry, what little th re
was of it and that little waq disappearing very
rapidly. I still isso your restorative about twice
a week, and shall soon have a good and perfect
crop of hair. Now, I had read of these things
—and who has not ! but have not seen hitherto
any case where any person’s hair was re
ally benefited by any of tho tonics, etc. of
the day 1 and it really gives me pleasure to re
cord the result of my experience. I have re
commended yourpreparation to others, and it
already has a large and general sale throughout
the Territflry. The people here know its effects,
and have confidence in it. The supply yv u sent
us, as wholesale agents for the Territory, is near
ly exhausted, and daily inquiries are made for it.
You deserve credit for your ■•iscov ry ; and I, for
one. return you my thanks for the benefit it lias
done me, for I certainly had despaio il long "go . f
ever effecting any such result
I Yours, hastily,
J. W. BOND.

PROFESSOR WOOD-
DEAR SIR: Having made trial of your
HAIR RESTORATIVE, it gives me pleasure to
say. that its effects have been exccllentjin removing
inllamation, ilaudruli, and a constant tendency
to itching, with which I have been troubled from
my childhood; and has also restored my hair which
was becoming gray, to its original color, I have
used no other article, with anything like the
san?e 1 leasure or profit.
Yours, truly. J. K. BRAGG.
I H Market st., St, Louis. March b, 1855,
DEAR SIR : I am doing an extensive travel in
the West and Southwestern States, as general
agent for Adams American Liniment, and w uld
be glad if you would favor me with a consignment
of Professor Wood’s Hair Restora
tive, as I feel assured that I can introduce it in
many places where it is not known, as my head
is a living testimony of its valuable property, in ro
stering tile hair to its natural color. I am fortv
years old, and my hair was almost white; but after
using three half pint betties, my hair isas beauti
ful auburn as it was at sixteen, and much improv,
cd in appearance, and I would not be without a
bottle on hand for the price of ten. I should be
very glad to attend to any matter connected with
the Hair Restorative. I have been for
fifteen years engaged in the same business, and
will be glad to hear from you soon
Very respectfully,
