rjfHE Subscriber informs the Planting Com-

that he continues to manufacture his Superior,
Fire Proof Cotton Gins, near Bel-Air, Richmond
county, Ga.
I would also inform them that I have, invented
a self-acting Box. and also a Curve Breast to put
to my Gins ; and I will warrant them to gin from
150 to 200 bales without choking or clogging be
tween the Ribs. If they do, in ginning that
number of bales, 1 will make them good again,
free of charge.
No one will use my Gin, and return it, with
out taking one in its piace. I will only allow the
purchaser to Gin from 10 to 15 bales upon trial,
and if my gin does not please, the purchaser can
n ‘ify me, and isl cannot make it perform well, 1
will take it back, and put one in its place that will.
I will let the purchaser use it isl cannot make it
perform well until I replace it—the purchaser
notifying me as soon as he thinks the Gin fails to
come up to the warrant.
I will deliver my superior Gin, at the purcha
ser’s residence, or so that he can get it, within
125 Miles of my Factory, at $2,25. per saw, and

performance, and making a good samvleof Cot
ton according to quality before ginning.
I will sell my common 8.-east Gins, delivered
at Bel-Air, Ga , at $1,75, per saw,and warrant
them to work well. I am also offering su

if the saws are good, at 75 cents, a saw. Other
work on old Gins, at fair rates. Please send on

THE MARRIED WOMAN’S
Private Jlledical Companion
BY DR. A. M. MAURICEAU,
eaooFssoß or dib«iabks or womsn.
, One Jtundrclh Edition(6Oo,Wo') IHmn.pp. 250.
' A Btaudanl work of established reputation, found
ed In the catalogues of tbegroat Trade Hale* of New I
York, Philadelphia, and other cities, and eold by
tho principal bookeellern in tho United Statue.
Every woman can discover, by comparing her
, own symptoms with those described, the nature,
; character and cause of her complaint and be spared
; much anxiety and suffering, as well as the unplea
! santness of making known to, or making inquiry
i of, a physician in respect to tho numberless ail
-1 ments to which she is subject. The wife about
becoming a mother has often need of instruction
and advice in respect to her situation, which she
will here find. This book tells her what to do
for it, in simple but chaste words, and such as
she can understand.
Those suffering from obstructions or irregular
ities peculiar to the female system, or from
prolapsus uteri (falling of thewomb),orfrotnfluor
albus, will each find in its pages the means cf
prevention, amelioration, and relief.
Much distress of mind, ns well as thousands
pecuniarily, might be saved to every husband, if
the simplest laws appertaining to the marriago
state were better understood. That they are not
better understood is traceable to that natural and
almost commendable sensitiveness that will rath
er suffer than consult or converse with even a
medieal man in respect to complaint.''peculiar to
the female only.
In a copy of “The Married Woman’s Private
Medical Companion,’’ every female has a phys
ician that knows and describes her every symp
tom, feeling and ailment, and which she can con
sult at all times without violent to her sensith c
ness.
[Extract of a letter from a gentleman m Dayton.]
Dayton, Ohio, May 1,1847.
Dr A. M. Mauriceau— My Dear Sir— My wife
has been prcceptibly sinking for some three years
or more, in consequence of great anguish and
suffering some months before and during confine
ment ; every successive one more and more de
bilitated and prostrated her, putting her life in
imminent danger, nnd which was on the last oc
casion despaired of. I supposed that this state
of things was inevitable, and resigned myself to
meet the worst. I heard your book highly spo
ken of, as containing some matters reaching my
case. On its receipt and perusal I cannot express
to you tho relief it afforded my distressed mind,
and tho joy its pages imparted to my wife, on
learning that the great discovery of M. M. Des
omeaux provided a remedy. It opened a pros
pect to nie which I little conceived was possible-
But for this, ere another year would have passes
over my head, in all human proability my wife
would have been in her grave and my children '
left motherless.
