Here, three "wise men” are seen bowing before the manger presenting to the Christ child their gifts of gold, frankincense and myrr. After worshipping the newborn King, they returned to their own land in the East, according to gospel accounts. "Epiphany brings to a close the most majestic season of the year,” said church leaders, "which always begins with Advent and preparation for the coming of the Messiah which Christians believe is Jesus Christ.” Revival set at mountain View Mountain View Baptist Church, Baldwin, will hold revival services January 13 through January 16. Services will begin Sunday eve ning at 6 p.m. Monday through Wednesday services will begin at 7 p.m. The guest evangelist will be Mark Stroud from Wahoo Baptist Church, Murrayville. The church is located one mile south of Baldwin on Hwy 105. Gilbert, Jefferson, addressed Community Brotherhood members last Sunday at the group's monthly breakfast held in the fellowship hall at Homer United Methodist Church. Gilbert, a noted Civil War writer and lec turer, recently completed a Civil War novel, "Chasing the Wind,” which has been published and is now in cir culation. The author deliv ered a stirring devotion to Brotherhood members who acclaimed it as one of the most stirring they have heard among invited guest speakers, said the Rev. Jim McLendon.
