He is a 2001 graduate of Commerce High School and attends Lanier Technical College, where he is majoring in criminal justice. He is an officer with the Commerce Police Department. The couple will be united in marriage at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, 2008, at the First Baptist Church of Commerce. All family and friends are invited. A reception will follow in the church family fel lowship center. Hospice service planned for Feb. 10 St. Mary’s Hospice Services will hold its annual Hospice Memorial Service on Sunday, Feb. 10, at 2 p.m. at Central Presbyterian Church, 380 Alps Road, Athens, to commemorate the lives of loved ones who died in 2007. The Rev. Bill Hayes, chaplain, will officiate. The service is open to everyone, and people from the community are welcome. Families and friends of hospice patients who died in 2007 are especially invited. The service will help family members and friends memorialize those they have lost in the past year. People who were not hospice patients also can be remembered at the service. St. Mary’s Hospice Services provides care for individuals and fami lies facing end-of-life issues in Athens-Clarke, Banks, Barrow, Elbert, Franklin, Greene, Hart, Jackson, Madison, Morgan, Oconee, Oglethorpe and Walton counties.
