BOMS GEOGRAPHY BEE
Several Banks County Middle School students recently participated in the National Geographic
Bee, a nationwide contest for schools in the United States. The contest is conducted in grades
four through eight. There are three levels of competition: school, state and national. To advance
from the school to the state level, the winning student must take a written qualifying test. If the
student is one of a hundred highest scoring student he will compete at the state. The first place
winner at the state goes to the nationals. Charlie Kiefer is Banks County Middle School's winner
and he has taken the written test. We will know the results in March. BCMS students who par
ticipated include, front row, from left, Taylor Turner, Matthew Gan, Charlie Kiefer, Destin Patrick
and Tyler Moon; back row, from left, Edgardo Reyes, Justin Bowen, Joshua Brock, Lee Holbrook,
