Banks County Elementary School
has announced their honor roll and
roll of excellence students for the
second nine weeks of the 2007-08
school year.
To be considered for the honor
roll, a student must achieve an
overall “A” average (90 or above).
To be considered for the roll of
excellence, a student must maintain
an “A” in each subject as well as
satisfactory conduct. All students
listed below have achieved the
required averages.

description of the events hap
pening in the photo. Photos of

lished. Educators are asked to
submit no more than two qual

but attached within an e-mail.

please ensure the camera is set
at a medium quality setting to
produce the best quality photos.
Photos taken at a low resolution
may not publish well.
The first and last names of
those shown in the photo,
including adults, must be sub
mitted. Please ensure that all
names are spelled correctly.
Educators may also submit
announcements, such as special
events and learning activities.
Honor rolls and perfect atten
dance lists may also be sub
mitted according to the for
mat preferred by MainStreet
Newspapers.
School news will be published
according to available space.
Piedmont College to hold open house
Students and their parents inter
ested in learning about the Piedmont
College Athens Campus are invited
to an open house at the college from
6:30-8 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 28.
Located at 595 Prince Avenue,
Piedmont’s Athens Campus now
offers complete four-year degrees in
a variety of career-oriented subjects,
as well as graduate degree programs
in education and business.
The open house is an opportu
nity for undergraduate students to
meet Piedmont faculty and learn
about the new programs offered in
Athens. Welcome and introductions
will begin at 6:30 p.m. in Commons
Hall, and tours will be given shortly
after. The evening will end with a
dessert reception in Rogers Hall.
