Sheriff's office reports 14 arrests
The Banks County Sheriff’s Office
reported 14 arrests during the past
week including the following:

Lewis Circle, Commerce, theft.
•Heather Virginia Boswell, 29,
5393 South Apple Valley Road,
Jefferson, DUI (alcohol).
•Brittany Leann Dorsey, 25, 866
Allen Road, Commerce, failure to
appear for court.
•Juan Antonio Gaona, 35, 2060
Epps Bridge Road, Lot 73A, Athens,
excessive speeding and driving with
out a license.
•Patricia Ann Garland, 41, 4107
Duplex Drive, Homer, driving with-
out a license.
•Clifford Alan Hornbuckle, 25,
4107 Hwy. 51 South, Lula, theft by
shoplifting and giving false informa
tion to an officer.
•Brent Honea Jones, 35, 240
Oglethorpe Terrace, Athens, DUI
(alcohol), driving without a license
and driving a vehicle without a tag.

Vehicle fire reported at Banks Crossing
A Clarkesville man was at a Banks
Crossing restaurant when his vehicle
caught on fire. According to an inci
dent report filed at the Banks County
Sheriff’s Office, the fire started in
the dash of the vehicle.
Other incidents reported to the
sheriff’s office last week include the

•livestock in road at a Hawkins
Road location.
•suspicious phone call at a C.
Jordan Road, Lula, address.
•livestock in road at a Hwy. 51
location.
•someone entered an automobile at
a Hampton Court, Banks Crossing,
address.
•suspicious person at a Neal Road,
Commerce, location.
•tag stolen from a vehicle at a
Duncan Road, Commerce, address.
•feed bins damaged at an Autumn
Road, Homer, location.
•prowler at a Boling Road, Homer,
address.
•chicken house equipment dam
aged at an Autumn Drive, Maysville,
location.
•vehicle damaged at a Hwy. 441,
Commerce, address.
•a Wynn Lake Road, Alto, man
said his car tag is missing.
•GPS unit taken from a Banks
Crossing business.

•a Grove Level Drive man said a
sign is missing from his property.

A dispute at a Borders Road, Commerce, residence
was one of several domestic-related incidents investi
gated by the Banks County Sheriff’s Office during the
past week.
